Ok… Let’s look back at 2009…

Seems like I’ve accomplished none of my resolutions…hahaha… except for the watch part which is not even bought by me. Thanks to my dear dear … hmm… Let’s see what happen in 2009 :-

1. Changing job role in my job which also means some increment…

2. Getting extremely busy coz of the new job role which got worse during Q4 of the year.

3. Some stupid hiccups in life…which some of you might know…

4. and then I found my prince charming… (Ok … Wei and Ya… I hope you’re not drinking water here…hahaha….).

5. Went Bangkok for shopping!

6. Been on a business trip to an extremely boring country- Brunei

7. Very ‘powderful’ office politics.

8.  Watching my colleagues bought Swift (Ellie), Altis and Civic and I can’t buy any… sob sob…

9. Lots of colleagues having child / 2nd child next year…which includes Ellie… so I cannot accomplish my rock climbing resolution… whahaha…

10. Lots of friends tying the knots…

Can’t think of anything else… So… what’s my 2010 resolutions? Been thinking for a couple of days. Should I make some unrealistic one so that it’s a miracle to accomplish them? haha… My ah jie say no recycling of resolutions … Ellie help!!! But she’s too busy to layan me now…. So Win Nee is helping me …. hehe… Let’s see…

1. Save money…

2. Own a property

3. Buy new phone

4. Get a better job

5. Taiwan trip

6. Own a Prada wallet first…

7. If can…own a Prada bag…

8. Maintain my weight…

9. Open a franchise? hmm…

10. Accomplish 1 - 9 resolutions… whahahah… ok ok… Nee say no such things… Let’s make a new one… ok la… hopefully another trip to any where of the world… preferably Australia…

11. Suppose to be the most important one… hehe… continue to maintain a happy relationship with my dear dear… hehe…

Ok … done… so… Hopefully I really can accomplish “some” of my resolutions next year since I’m not getting any younger.

If this is the first time that you’ve met me, be prepared to be either scared/scarred-for-life or amused/laugh-for-life by my endless chatter of nonsense. I make everything seems like a drama, yes I do exaggerate a bit, but hey, at least it comes with sound effects and great action scenes! I also have a talent of speaking really fast, but I can’t help it, I’ve got too many things to say and so little time to spare! To add greater significance of my life, I’ve even purchased my car’s license plate number to be 1983 coz that’s the year the world change, when on the very first day, the Gods bestow a gift to the world: Me! ^__^

I can’t help it that I attract attention wherever I lay my dainty feet, be it my third home, One Utama (unfortunately, it gotten kicked off the ranks by my office) and even in the London tube, eyes (some even in disbelieved) will just arrow towards me as if there’s something on my head (I know, I know, my hair looks fantastic when I’m overseas)! But then, it took me a while, in fact, took me more than 20 years to realise why. When one of my girlfriends, J came back to KL during one of her I’m-back-from-Singapore-and-I’m-off-tomorrow/tonight trips, and in the midst of an engaging conversation, it suddenly hit us that we always seem to be attracting attention in public. So, we concluded that it is indeed a burden to have good looks, coz we can’t help it if people like to look at us, and seriously right at that moment, one guy was looking at us, and we pointed out “See, see, he’s looking at us!”, poor dude was embarassed, and we shook our heads together, sighing “This is what happen when you have good looks…” And Cheryl can’t deny this coz she’s got good looks too but she’s not as vain as me to admit it.

But to be honest, vanity comes naturally with self-confidence. If you’re not confident bout yourself, who’s gonna be confident of you? Your parents will always assure you that you’re perfect, like duh, you originated from them, obviously they can’t claim they’ve got bad genes. Your friends cannot claim you’re a lame-oh coz if they hang out with you, that means they’re lame too! So, who’s gotta do all the dirty job? Obviously, yourself! One of my many mottos in life is “God will only help those who help themselves” but my ultimate motto in life is “There’s nothing worse than being talked about is not being talked about at all”! Ah ya claims that my extreme self-confidence matches the likes of Ayame from Fruit Basket, and just like him, I tend to overwhelm the faint-hearted. I should hang a warning sign around my neck the next time I meet new people, that would probably read “Warning, do not be fooled by innocent looks, beware of tyrant in small body”.

All these might be one-sided statements, but alas, the truth that I stand out cannot be concealed. I imposed long-lasting memories on most people that I’ve met, my poor lecturers in HELP could still remember me after all these years, and I did not stalk them after I graduated! Once in class, my Maths lecturer was looking for volunteers to answer some Maths equation, so I happily raised my arm, going “Oooh, oooh, I know, I know!” He practically ignored my waving and continued asking, and actually I didn’t know the answer but just felt like volunteering for fun since no one wants to do it. And bam, suddenly a vision came into my head, and ta-dah I knew the answer (this has nothing to do with the so-called ESP I share with ah ya).  And yay, I created another I-can’t-believe-she-has-brains moment in HELP.

I’ve also made an impression on a few guys from the IMF, almost gave one of them a heart attack by screaming for fun during a cable car ride in Langkawi. I was notorious when I was in ADB, breaking the generalisation that Malaysians are quiet, reserve and shy (so not true when I’m representing Malaysia), and one Japanese professor ended up being skittish everytime he spotted me from far. Seriously, I did not do anything to him! All I just did was talk and he got scared… >.<

Anyway, I’m not writing all this for the hell of it, seriously, sometimes I dooo do things for a reason (my sudden weird noises does not apply here). You see, Cheryl pestered me to write bout why am I standout in life so we can win some nice goodies from Nuffnang, and it’s easy-peasie to write bout how great I am, after all, they don’t call me vain-pot for nothing! So, here I am, providing some inputs that would eventually be consolidated for my autobiography, and if we do win some goodies, I’ll even add that into my book! *hint hint*

Loose a bit more weight… Slimmer but still got that stupid tummy… not very big but still a damn tummy… hopefully make it smaller…no no… I don’t drink a lot of beer… I don’t think it’s beer belly… (I’ve lost a lot of weight, according to Ellie… Yes I really do think I’ve lost quite an amount of weight, everything seems a bit big on me now.)
7. Buy WiiFit (I think this plan will be on hold)
8. Must be able to swim, in process of learning now… (still learning)
9. Own a watch. A good one. (This plan fail in Q1 coz I bought a new mobile phone instead! haha…)

Hmm… at least I’ve achieved item 1 and 6….

After a long thought on which celebrity I want to be, I still couldn’t decide. So the natural way for me was to fireup Google.com and type “Female Rock Star”. This landed me to a typical website quiz “Witch female rock star are you”. Yups… And guess who I turn out to be?

Yups! I have totally no idea what in the world do I have in common with Gwen. And great… now I need to look for a blonde wig. Not to mention chillie red lipstick and perhaps white powder to make myself look white and all. Hmm… And singing ‘Great escape’ on stage?!

Oh no! Too much effort! Maybe I would just go as myself and just start singing ‘Woo Hoo… Wee Hoo’ and let people guess who I am impersonating… Hmm that sounds much more like a more cost effective idea. ;)

Hence, when I was in Kew gardens, I went gaga over the sight of lone benches in various locations spread out in the garden, and was happily snapping pictures of them. Hope I was able to express how I felt at that time through my pictures…

And thank goodness we were nearby to a restaurant or Sweet would have roasted one of the drakes by the pond… It’s called the Pavillion, a self-service cafeteria, and you’ll find it if you follow the main road towards the Pagoda from the Temperate House… unlike us who prefer to turn into any small paths we can find, hoping it’ll be a short-cut…

Look at the amount of macaroni + cheese the cute guy gave us, it was huge!

But he forgot bout the potatoes… must be he was distracted by us… hehe

Sweet had this beef lasagne… but only thean can share with her coz the rest of us don’t take beef

 Ok la… Happy New Year all! Wish everyone have a good 2009!

 Anyway, quick updates on our lifes… I had the joy of living luxuriously for one month in Manila… uwahh how I miss those days… and my shit at work is as not as bad as before, and I think Thean is going through her shit now. You see, according to the chinese horoscope, those born in the dog year will experience a shitty year this year but then, things will work out well in the end… so I’m still waiting for the ‘work-out-well’ part… ooh hope I’ll get a big bonus this year, then I can really spend it on my next year travel!

But before my next year’s trip, I’m going to BANGKOK after Christmas!! Yay yay, I miss my new-found Thai friends and I’ve been craving for Mcd’s Samurai Pork burger ever since I last visit Bangkok two years ago… 

And that reminds me, I need to make a hotel reservation for my birthday celebration… sigh… I think I’ll just stay 25… hehehe
